One of the world’s most prestigious design awards, the iF DESIGN AWARD has been organized in Germany since 1953. The iF logo marks good design and is a badge of quality for consumers and the design community alike.

An independent jury of international design experts meets to determine award-winning designs, based on a set of objective screening standards.

The iF DESIGN AWARD 2023 is now open for submissions.

Step 1: iF Online Preselection

  • Based on the iF Scorecard (see below), jurors evaluate each entry.

  • We rank all entries based on the scorecards.

  • The top 50% automatically qualify for the iF Final Jury.

Step 2: iF Final Jury

  • The iF Final Jury meets in March 2022 to examine the qualifying entries.

  • By combining the online preselection scorecards with their own judgment, our jurors select the Winners of the iF DESIGN AWARD 2022.
