einestages, the new project from the news magazine SPIEGEL ONLINE, creates a collective commemoration of our contemporary history. The editorial department and readers work together. The editorial department selects the topics and presents exciting articles. Readers can suggest further subjects and become authors themselves. As “contemporary witnesses” they report on events that made history from their point of view. Each article can be assessed, commented on and supplemented with personal pictorial material. Furthermore, everyone can help to collect missing “pieces of contemporary history puzzles” – both for topics where pictures are missing and vice versa.
