Pretext and disappointment — To better convey large paintings in a small catalog, I decided to present three views of each painting: the work in its entirety, a detail in actual size, and a view of the painting in the context of the exhibition. The reader gets a better impression of the actual size, the way it was painted, and its effect in a given space. The catalog offers the reader a constant change of perspective, a picture index, and an open spine for better handling. It is printed on uncoated paper and has no lamination work. Special attention was paid to the layout and the folding of the cover.
