Adaptive reuse. Automobile service center, retails

This is an adaptive re-use project. The original use of the structure was retail and warehouse. The surrounding environment also have changed with the growth of office and retail shops, also with the provision of social housing project around the corner. The city has put its effort on transforming this area to be more livable and pedestrian friendly. The urban landscape in this area is mostly big box and parking lots. With the renovations of both exterior and interior, the design of the building aims to connect the space inside the building to the street level and try to have more architectural expressions for street scape.
