One of the most important design prizes for students from all over the world, with about 10,000 submissions each year.
Together with our Sponsors, iF Design provides a platform for students and their future-oriented concepts. Winners receive international acclaim and the best concepts earn a share of the 50,000 EUR prize money.

THE TWO-STEP JURY PROCESS
Step 1: Online Jury
Based on the iF Scorecard, jurors evaluate each entry.
We rank all entries based on the scorecards.
The top 300 concepts qualify for the Final Jury.
Step 2: Final Jury
The Final Jury meets on 17 May 2023 to examine the qualified entries.
By combining the preselection scorecards with their own judgement, our jurors select the iF DESIGN STUDENT AWARD winners and distribute the prize money.

PROTECT YOUR RIGHTS
Students and recent graduates often find it difficult to protect their designs against copyright infringements. Therefore, we recommend the following institutions that can help you with protecting your designs, depending on country or region of origin.
Protection in Europe
The Trade Mark Designs and Registration Office of the European Union (OHIM), located in Alicante, Spain, offers effective protection against copyright infringement. As soon as your design is registered as a community design, it will be protected in each European Union member state.
