Old city, small space, small house: Built in 1968, the one-story brick house was transformed into a two-story tin house reflecting the minimalist lifestyle of an artist couple. The spaces are all simple—frugal but not shabby; fancy but not extravagant. The 60cm height difference, which was a constraint on the land, became an open space to communicate with local residents from the kitchen and living room. This project is an example of urban regeneration; it changes the old neighborhood by utilizing a small abandoned plot for urban development.
