Interior design for Marriott International's second "Tribute Portfolio Hotel" brand in Japan. The floor is a mixture of hotel reception, lounge, restaurant, bar, and other various uses. At the time of planning, Kyoto was already saturated with nearly 3,000 lodging facilities. In addition, it was planned and opened amidst the uncertain future for the tourism industry with novel coronavirus from 2020. Therefore, this space incorporates ideas that go beyond mere lodging facilities such as differentiate it from other facilities in order to attract customers and to be aware of its location and social conditions.
