Permanent exhibition
The museum consists of the ensemble of the historic Rothschild Palais and the modern extension by Staab architects. The exhibition design is sensitive to the historical building and presents the exhibits, some of which are very personal, in a differentiated way. Under the motto “We are now”, history is told through stories. The museum narrative is an interwoven mixture of chronological and thematic structures. The three levels function thematically and dramaturgically very differently and independently and can therefore be experienced both, individually and in a defined sequential order.
