The YZF-R7 is a new middleweight supersport model designed to help bridge the performance gap between the entry-level R3 and the flagship R1. Repurposing the 689cc CP2 engine and chassis from the award-winning MT-07 platform, the R7 features sport-focused additions such as revised dimensions, an inverted front fork and upgraded brakes, and an A&S clutch and quickshifter (optional) packaged in the R-Series’ signature styling. This gives novice riders all the right tools for skill growth and experienced motorcyclists a machine they can extract maximum performance from—all at an affordable price with Yamaha’s legendary reliability.
