Prof. Dieter Rams

Dieter Rams studied architecture in Wiesbaden, and initially worked in that field in Germany. Indeed, it was a job as an architect that led him to Braun in 1955. Switching to industrial design the next year, he served as head of design at Braun from 1961 to 1995. Together with his design team, Rams was responsible for many of the iconic household products of the 20th century.
