cup of tea ensemble is a small hotel located in Hida Takayama, a flourishing tourist destination where approximately four million people visit annually. It is home to the World Heritage Site of Shirakawa-go and the preserved old town from the Edo period. The designers pursued the concept of the ideal hotel that coexists with conventional tourism that follows historical sites with one that serves as a foundation for generating regional values that will contribute to the local culture of Hida Takamaya for the next hundred years.
