MUSE

Sex education & Women healthcare

Growing up in a male-centered society leaves many girls and women isolated when it comes to body awareness and sex education. Essential conversations are often not addressed within the family, and not thoroughly enough at school. Muse is a collection of tools that addresses two important aspects of a woman’s journey through life: sex education and gynecological appointments. It aims to shape a new generation that feels differently, challenges oppressive perspectives, and has a healthier relationship with their bodies and sexuality. The first kit helps young girls to become informed and empowered while the second tackles women’s healthcare.

JURY STATEMENT

MUSE enhances body awareness, instills self-confidence, and has a lasting positive impact on mental, physiological, and physical well-being. The iF jury recognized the thoroughness of the design process including prototyping and user testing.

WINNER STATEMENT

Receiving an award for Muse is an honor, not just as a female designer, but also as a young woman full of hopes and worries for the future of public sexual education. When I heard the news, my thoughts were with every expert, every woman, and the people that helped support Muse.
