Smart water monitoring device for rice cultivation
Boro Bandhu is a revolutionary device for rice (especially Boro rice) farmers. It provides real-time updates on water levels in rice paddies to prevent over-irrigation and reduce the need for frequent field visits by farmers. Frequent and unexpected power cuts are a major inconvenience for Indian farmers, but this device runs on solar power and is therefore outage-proof. It promotes good water management, reducing the risk of groundwater contamination and making Boro rice farming more sustainable. Its ease of installation and sim card-enabled GSM connectivity make it perfect for use in remote villages.
This design concept uses state-of-the-art technology to support small-scale rice farmers in India. Glocalization in action!
