Furniture Concept

MEA is a furniture concept built around the idea of reparability. The MEA Chair, for example, is made entirely of solid wood. Thanks to detachable screw connections, it can be quickly disassembled and completely refurbished in less than an hour. Irreparable individual parts can be replaced while all others remain in use. MEA makes repairability accessible to a wider audience and allows furniture to remain in an endless cycle. When the chair is no longer needed, it can simply be returned to be repaired and resold.

JURY STATEMENT

This is a great example of the circular economy in action.

WINNER STATEMENT

I am thrilled to be honored to receive the iF DESIGN STUDENT AWARD for my project MEA. This motivates me to continue developing innovative solutions and contributing to a more environmentally conscious world
