Modular Facade Systems

The renovation and retrofitting of older buildings (50+ years) are expensive and time-consuming. Sun Brella offers an alternative solution that is both cost-effective and highly efficient. It is easily mounted or dismounted on the façades of existing buildings and combines energy generation with ventilation, noise reduction, and heat management. The design concept is based on two natural phenomena: phototropism (the orientation of a plant to light) and photonasty (the opening or closing of leaves or petals in response to light intensity). The former is guided by light sensors while the latter responds to airflow.

This is an innovative and elegant solution to the problem of energy loss and energy costs in large buildings.
