Strata is a collection of 8 indoor/outdoor woven rugs that seamlessly blend innovative design and sustainability, crafted entirely from recycled post-consumer plastic fibres in Spain and designed in collaboration with the English studio Wallace#Sewell. Inspired by the tittle 'Archive of Earth Memories,' Strata is a testament to Wallace#Sewell's unique vision of a textile form, integrating distinctive layers of colour to light up outdoor spaces.
iF Gold Statement
Strata repurposes plastic waste into beautiful rugs that work equally well indoors or outdoors. Unlike many upcycled products, the durability of these fibers matches or exceeds first-use plastics. Perhaps most important of all, the original, earth-inspired patterns lend this series an air of rural English understatement – not surprising, since they were designed by Wallace#Sewell.
