Iconi Light
Study lighting for underpowered children
In many parts of Africa, power supplies are unstable or nonexistent, so many children cannot study when they need to. This deepens the educational gap, revealing the role of power infrastructure in ensuring children's right to learn. Iconic Light charges its battery using the same pull-back mechanism found in many toys. This light, compact and portable light can be used anywhere to provide lighting for learning and doing.
Iconi Light helps bridge educational gaps by providing a self-generated study light for children in areas without reliable electricity. Using a simple pull-back charging system, it delivers portable, infrastructure-free power, allowing kids to learn anytime, anywhere.
WINNER STATEMENTWe are deeply grateful for this prestigious award. It is all the more meaningful to receive the iF DESIGN STUDENT AWARD for a project I worked on when I was an exchange student in the UK. Taking this award as an opportunity, I intend to continue growing and become a world-renowned designer.
