Bendadi
Inclusive educational toys
Bendadi is a multisensory educational game co-created by visually impaired artist Lucilla D'Antilio and the MUSE Science Museum in Trento. Aimed at children, it enhances tactile and fine motor skills through "eyes-closed" play, promoting inclusion and addressing sensory issues caused by excessive technology use. Bendadi integrates psychophysical, cognitive, and social development, setting a new standard for inclusive play and serving as an innovative educational tool.
Bendadi promotes an immediate and tangible experience of inclusion. It's intuitive and playful, and is designed to be played 'blind'. By getting people to engage with one another with their eyes closed, it helps them develop tactile skills and learn together, creating the perfect antidote to exclusionary screen use. This is a great way to redefine inclusive education through design.
