Next-gen Cycling Helmet for Spatial Awareness

LiNDA is an innovative cycling helmet designed to enhance spatial awareness and visibility, addressing urban cycling safety. With e-bike usage increasing and accidents 2.6 times more frequent than with mechanical bicycles, LiNDA offers protection through dual systems: LiDAR sensors detect blind-spot threats and provide vibration alerts, while a retroreflective coating keeps cyclists visible to autonomous vehicles in all weather. Initially aimed at e-bikers aged 50+ in the Benelux region, LiNDA promotes safer urban cycling, one helmet at a time.

JURY STATEMENT

This sophisticated sensory hub pairs active LiDAR detection with digital visibility to protect cyclists in increasingly complex and tech-driven urban traffic. This compact and highly integrated solution is a timely response to a dynamic urban environment.
