Low-cost maintenance sustainable development

The Mosscale Moss Monitoring System enhances bridge safety in underprivileged areas by using resilient moss to detect conditions during typhoons. It features a low-cost coconut coir water-retention layer, a flexible anchoring layer, and a 3D-printed surface for easy installation. When a bridge undergoes minor deformations, the moss changes from bright green to yellow, providing a clear visual warning to villagers and inspectors without specialized equipment.
