Adaptive Reuse - Library Design

The Transformed Repository addresses the challenge of reimagining industrial spaces by converting a historical Detroit warehouse into a modern library and café. It solves the problem of underused, decaying industrial buildings by giving them new life while preserving their heritage. The design enhances community engagement through adaptive reuse, creating a multifunctional space for learning, social interaction, and cultural events. What makes this project unique is its balance between past and present, incorporating innovative design techniques like embedded structures and natural lighting to optimize user experience and sustainability.
