Fins for Free Diving

The JAWS 3D fins are tailored specifically for freedivers. Designed for efficient propulsion, it is crucial as divers do not have any supporting breathing apparatus. Inspired by shark tail fins, it has a sturdy center and flexible edges. Sharks swim, dividing the water flow at the center, while the edges, using their elasticity, create propelling waves. To mimic this, we applied our tech: the Double Diamond structure for stiffness and the 3D-Dive patent for a hard-medial, soft-lateral design. We also use VARTM to merge carbon fiber with epoxy resin in a vacuum, preventing bubble formation and ensuring complete force transmission during kicks.
