Sustainable Water Lantern

This product is based on the traditional water lanterns that are used throughout Asia in a variety of religious and cultural contexts – to pray for blessings, ward off evil, overcome difficulties, or merely reflect on the transience of life. As such, they offer moments of comfort and solace, counteracting the stresses and pressures of modern life. However, traditional water lanterns are not biodegradable and become a source of pollution in waterways. This sustainable variant is a river lantern made from fish feed. After the lamp burns out, the boat dissolves in water, providing nutrition for the fish.
