Water Purification Solutions with LID Concept

This entry is a landscape design proposal for the Huangxiao River waterfront area in Wuhan that aims to solve its water quality and landscape problems. It applies the concept of low-impact development to water quality and ecology of the Huangxiao River through ecological restoration techniques and combines it with regional culture to create a unique waterfront landscape that enhances citizens' sense of belonging and enriches their leisure life. Compared with similar projects, the scheme is innovative and highly practical in terms of ecology, culture and spatial planning, and can provide ideas for solving similar urban problems.

JURY STATEMENT

Through its systemic approach, this meticulously researched and elegantly executed project promotes inclusive and sustainable urbanization in a megacity, contributing to the achievement of SDGs 14 (Life below Water) and 15 (Life on Land).
