"Hi-Drive" is a completely new, innovative operating and drive concept for DV series rollers with all-drum steering. HAMM AG's specially developed multifunctional joystick automatically configures to match the drum's direction of travel. Compaction work requires forward and backward motion in equal installments. The new steering concept means that for the first time the roller always drives forward – in a manner of speaking – with the aid of the driver's seat that can be rotated through 360°. New in concept, the design of the machine supports this perception through its systematic free-view concept as well as through the open view between cabin and roller lining. The cabin, which travels laterally in both directions, is fitted with glass throughout, including the floor. The well-conceived configuration of the 16 headlights moreover insures safe operation and optimum, non-glare illumination of the immediate working environment, even in the dark.
