Seoul Metropolitan Government

The Infection Control Standard Design (ICSD) is a comprehensive system that uses a symbolic color for infection control. The color is used for intuitive pictograms and standardized manuals. ICSD was created to improve citizens’ ability to cope with daily crises and induce voluntary actions for preventative measures. A green-yellow was selected as the symbolic color to attract more attention. A green palette encourages natural participation and optimizes the user experience through intuitive nudge design. The aim is to establish a systematic communication method that activates citizens’ preventative behavior.
