Matzwitz House, Germany_living with timber

Matzwitz House is designed to frame landscape as lived experience. Elevated above the road, its simple asymmetrical gable opens through a five-meter panoramic window, turning the hills of Holstein Switzerland into a changing artwork. The house creates poetic, protective spaces defined by light, proportion, and material. A solid cross-laminated spruce structure ensures sustainability, rapid construction, and a healthy indoor climate. Rooted in place, it merges architecture and nature into one spatial narrative.
