Tears of the mountains
In this video, the akyn-improviser(poet-improviser) talks about the importance of preserving our mountains, our heritage. It talks about how the development of the large Kumtor field greatly accelerated the melting of the Davydov and Lysyi glaciers. Glaciers are an important component of river systems. Joint storage of broken and loosened masses of ice with waste rocks in glacier basins actually represents ice pollution due to its mixing with crushed rocks containing heavy metals. The rock-ice mass moves and destroys the objects of the mine. Over time, it can reach the channel of the Kumtor River, which is fraught with pollution.
