2020, 'Smart Space Exhibition' by Hamilton City Council

Cheong Ba-G project (traceable denim bag & application) participated in one of the quarterly innovation showcases run by the Hamilton City council, which sought to celebrate local innovations and inspire the public as a community-contributed design. Cheong Ba-G “Ba-g” upcycled backpacks and handbags on display, which are environmentally conscious items using upcycled denim by seeking to bring about awareness around the issues of sustainability and the impacts of consumerism. They feature a unique QR code on each bag’s tag which when scanned, shares where that bag’s denim was salvaged from as well as the make and size of the original jeans.
