The Hubs Model

Our aid staging hubs provide locations where donations can be amalgamated and stored, and make it easier for donating groups to send regular donations. In the UK, there are three local staging hubs where donations from sending groups can be collected; these could range from a single bag of donated clothes to several pallets of tents. For receiving groups, the donations can be shipped to and stored in larger warehouses and then split between small niche groups. With this model, shipments can be efficiently arranged to transport as much aid as possible, in turn helping to reduce waste and cutting down carbon emissions from unnecessary journeys.
