Operation: Safe and Sound Ethiopia
Project Safe and Sound tackles ingrained poverty in rural northern Ethiopia – building long-term resilience among more than 6,200 farming families through livelihood and education activities that increase incomes. This project specifically tackles trachoma – a prevalent illness that can lead to blindness – by providing health education, creating school hygiene clubs, collaborating with water authorities and building or improving water infrastructure. Providing crucial agriculture and animal husbandry trainings and inputs as well, the project holistically supports Ethiopian families to address their own health, education and other needs.
