The Lilium-SPOT was launched in Japan in late 2018 as the world's first urine volume measuring device for patients to measure their own urine volume as a "non-medical devices". In 2021, an improved version, Lilium-SPOT2, was launched in Japan and is widely used in nursing care and to check before/after self catheterization for the patients with neurogenic bladder.
