Sanitary Pads Project

Barriers to accessing menstrual hygiene management is a chronic issue among adolescent young girls and women, worse, among those whose households are from low socioeconomic background. The impact of this lack affects the girls' social and economic growth. As a response to this, we work with young girls and women from underprivileged backgrounds whereby we train them on how to make reusable pads which they can utilize and sell the surplus as means of making a living. We also train these women on financial literacy in a bid to ensure that they are better able to invest their profits so as to end the vicious cycle of poverty.
