Origami Ark / Sunshow Leather Pavilion
Origami Ark or Sunshow Leather Pavilion is a showroom for Sunsho Leather company based in Himeji Japan. The building is situated in front of high speed Shinkansen train tracks which travels at 300 km/h. It's horizontal lines and the sharp angled walls add to the high speed of trains produces and effect of movement in the building. Inside the Ark, 83 small display units, similar to the ones used in the factory next door, are combined together irregularly in a big jungle gym like fixture, offering the visitor an experience similar to that encountered in a maze when he explores the products.
