In recent years, the emerging black-collar creative class has been migrating out of the urban centers towards more affordable warehouse districts. We were commissioned to strategize, brand and design a creative epicenter, to provide an environment for the contemporary creative workplace or studio. Our key architectural gestures aim to redefine the nature of commercial buildings. The project blurs the boundaries between the predictable commercial space and the gritty industrial space, creating instead a hybrid space, offering an exciting alternative for the creative workplace in the 21st century.
