Co-creating and designing the future of a regional railway
Yokkaichi Asunarou Railway and NEC have launched a design project which theme is “Pursuing a future of sustainable local public transportation for the regional revitalization and elimination of the Mobility-handicapped ”. One of the activity is a “workshop train in which decorated strip of papers”. The train is treated as a “future center” to find issues and needs of society around the railway. The other activity is a “robot as a friend named Asunarobo” which is acted as a station attendant. Both companies are trying various challenges for regional revitalization and co-creating the future.
