Providing food security in a context of climate change
We work to create more resilient agro-ecological production systems in favor of food security. Our main project is located in the buffer zone of the Chingaza National Natural Park, a protected but endangered ecosystem, due to extensive agriculture and livestock, among others. Our project seeks to beget sustainable economic alternatives for 42 rural women, based on the principles of ecosystem conservation and restoration, short production and marketing circuits, agroecology, and ecotourism.
