Sowing solidarity against COVID-19 crisis in Bogota
The COVID-19 crisis has deeply increased precariousness in Colombia, with more than 42% of the population living in poverty. To respond to the emergency, PSF set up a distribution of food baskets, with agroecological and local products, which benefited 321 families in the working-class neighborhoods of Bogota. The situation is worrying regarding the current reforms (tax, social security, and retirement pension) proposed by the government which has caused social unrest and violent repressions from the state. We are in the process of raising the necessary funds to carry out the second round of distribution.
