Tern

Tern is an urban transportation company. We make a product that our planet needs: portable bicycles. Our goal is to encourage more people to switch to more sustainable forms of transportation. We know what the urban cyclist values because many of us are the customer. We commute by bike or get around the city on bicycles so we are creating bikes and accessories that we ourselves want and need. Our bikes are perfect for shopping and getting around town, recreation and shorter journeys. For longer trips, our bikes are modular and fold to fit into rail, car or bus. People like the idea that they can keep their bike with them so that it’s safe and there when they need it. We are still young. Our launch was in June 2011, but we are already selling around the world in 72 countries. Tern is based in Taipei, but our people and collaborators are found across the world in Europe, Asia and the Americas.
