VACAN aim to create a better world by making real-time congestion information and future congestion forecasts readily accessible. VACAN’s IoT devices record information related to human flow and vehicle traffic detection which we calculate using AI and display on digital signages and smartphones. VACAN’s services are currently used in many places such as department stores, Restaurants, cafes, Restrooms, shrines and temples, airports, public evacuation centers and famous offices all over Japan.
Design Statement
We design information infrastructures that are directly related to our daily lives.
We believe that in order to solve the problems we have with congestion in our daily lives, we need designs that can be adapted to any location, and that the design itself should be in a form that is more widely accepted by the public.
For example, station signs, road signs, traffic signals, etc. The concept we seek is to design infrastructure that is familiar to people’s daily lives.
