The round steel material is heated to bright red until it reaches about 1100℃, and the cross section is crushed into an oval shape at once with a powerful force of about 1 ton. By applying strong pressure to the heated steel, a peg with superior strength is completed. Ordinary round bar pegs spin around in the ground, making them difficult to use, but elliptical pegs penetrate well even on hard ground mixed with gravel and stones, and hold firmly in place without spinning around in the ground.
