Aart van Bezooyen has a faible for materials in design. Material Stories, founded in 2005, is where he works and writes to inspire and enable best use of material to make design more competitive, creative and sustainable. He is a professor at the Burg Giebichenstein University of Art and Design Halle, where he develops a new library for materials and technologies fostering dialogue between art and science. Aart is co-author of the “It’s Not Easy Being Green: Two Designers Exploring Sustainability Worldwide” book and curated the Materials Café exhibitions at the Hannover Messe.
