Akira Koyama

KEY OPERATION INC. / ARCHITECTSTokyo, Japan

Akira Koyama is the founder and owner of KEY OPERATION / ARCHITECTS (KOP), an innovative architectural design firm based in Tokyo, Japan. He studied architecture at Tokyo Metropolitan University, completing an MArch at the Bartlett School of Architecture (UCL) and an MSc at the Tokyo Institute of Technology. He worked in the UK at various architectural practices, including David Chipperfield Architects. Since setting up KOP in 2005, Akira has designed innovative commercial and residential buildings and won numerous international awards.
