Birgit Bauer

Birgit Bauer is a Professor of Design Concept at HTW University of Applied Sciences in Berlin (since 2012). She teaches methodology, discourse, writing, and leads transdisciplinary, participatory, and research-based design projects with Communication Design students. Birgit studied Product Design at the Kunsthochschule Kassel and was awarded the Braun-Feldweg Prize for Design-Critical Writing in 2004. She founded the Designcritics.org platform with others in 2009 and has published in various publications. She is also involved in the new master's program 'Public Design' at HTW Berlin.
