Bauverlag BV GmbHGütersloh, GermanyBurkhard Fröhlich studied architecture at Bielefeld University and the Lippe Institute of Technology (1972-76)- Following a year's internship in architectural and construction planning, worked for Bertelsmann Fachzeitschriften GmbH in Gütersloh, initially as editor of the construction industry journal DBZ Deutsche Bauzeitschrift. As of 1988: editor-in-chief of the DBZ, and two other similar journals Technik am Bau and Bauhandwerk. In the ensuing period he has established other magazines such as Computer Spezial, Licht&Architektur as well as Facility Management, where he is also editor-in-chief.
