Chamila Subasinghe

Curtin UniversityPerth, Australia

Chamila Subasinghe is one of the most distinguished Fulbright Scholars and Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Agency UK (SFHEA). He has invested more than two decades of his career in interrogating and integrating micro-human resilience efforts in a post-disaster landscape. Subasinghe explores local resilience-building-based design activism in terms of learning and teaching innovation to investigate hidden self-sufficiency issues in interdisciplinary design education. His local resilience building projects in the Indo-Pacific region use human instrumentation as a social innovation tool to negotiate architectural craft between design and community constructors.
