Prof. Christophe Marchand

Christophe Marchand was born in 1965 in Fribourg, Switzerland. From 1982 to 1986 he was an apprentice cabinet-maker, then studied Industrial Design from 1997 to 1991 at the Academy of Art and Design in Zurich. He has run the Christophe Marchand Product Development Atelier in Zurich since 1993 and worked on numerous exhibitions for the Design Museum in Zurich. Christophe Marchand has been Professor at the Cantonal School of Art in Lausanne (ECAL) since 1999, was a member of the "Swiss Design Network" and "Design Preis Schweiz 03" project groups in 2002, and guest professor in 2003 at the Berlin University of the Arts.
