Claudia Pommer

KathmanduChristchurch, New Zealand

Claudia Pommer is an equipment designer for Kathmandu, New Zealand’s leading outdoor gear company. With partners Oboz Footwear and RipCurl Australia, and steeped in Kiwi ingenuity, Kathmandu focusses on innovative product design and creates products with people and the planet in mind. After graduating at Magdeburg-Stendal University of Applied Sciences (Germany), she freelanced independently for design studios in Germany and Australia such as Vert Design in Sydney. Claudia arrived in New Zealand in 2009 working for an international stroller/baby care product company (Phil& Teds/Mountain Buggy) in Wellington. In 2014, she co-founded Proffer, an interior and signage design lead business in Wellington before she started her career in the outdoor industry.
