Eckhard Tischer

Eckhard Tischer, from Germany, was born in Hanover in 1939 and is a member of the Group management at Rodenstock in Munich. After various jobs in advertising agencies, his first important professional appointment in industry was at Braun AG in Frankfurt. Between 1966 and 1970, he was responsible for marketing services it what was then the company's electronics (hifi) unit. Subsequently, he headed the communications divisions at Rosenthal AG in Selb, and until 1991 he was chief executive at Rosenthal Einrichtungen (manufacture, marketing and distribution of Rosenthal furniture, as well as distribution of the Artemide collection in Germany). In 1992, he moved to Rodenstock where he initially headed the spectacle frames division. Following the company's re-organization, the assumed the management of the marketing section.
