Francesca Lanzavecchia

Lanzavecchia + WaiPavia, Italy

Francesca Lanzavecchia is Co-Owner of Lanzavecchia+Wai, a design studio founded in 2010 and based in Pavia and Singapore. Her partner Hunn Wai and she design limited editions for galleries and museums, industrial design products and work for brands such as Zanotta, Hermès, Cappellini, FIAM, Triennale Milano and Alcantara. Francesca, appointed Ambassador of Italian Design in 2017, studied industrial design at the Politecnico in Milan and received a Master's degree with honours from the Design Academy in Eindhoven. She has received numerous design awards for her work, including the Elle Décor International Design Award Young Designer Talent of the Year, the Archiproducts Design Award, the Red Dot Award Product Design 2016 or the Innovation in Inclusive Design Practice Award of the Royal College of Art. Francesca's objects contain stories and dreams and thus show how she sees the world as a designer.
